The Haven Community Coalition was convened by Hugh Stowe in April 2021.

The Coalition committee comprised representatives from each of the interested community groups CPA, FOH, HAC, CCS and the Griffin Reserves Advisory Group.

This Coalition explored whether a broad community consensus could be forged on an alternative stage design to the present DA approved plans, and then re-engage with Council in relation to the redevelopment of the Haven.

 

The clear articulation of alternative redevelopment visions was seen as a critical first step for rebuilding momentum for Haven redevelopment. Coalition member groups have been invited to develop proposals for comment and discussion.

 

A detailed proposal for full reinstatement prepared with the assistance of members of FOH, HAC and HPI was circulated to the other community groups, see below.
